More parklets are on the way! When we challenge our ideas of what our streets should do, we open ourselves up to fantastic new opportunities

When I ran for Council I promised that we would get the decarbonisation of our pools back into the Long-Term Plan. On Thursday I kept that promise. We’re going to reduce our carbon emissions by 2,916 tones and save $10 million dollars over the next 10 years in the process.

Across Aotearoa rime is on the rise. City centers across Aotearoa are seeing 34% more reports of crime in 2023 than they were in 2021, with some like Hamilton seeing an increase as large at 51%. There is one city however that’s an outlier – and that’s Pōneke.

We can uphold te mana o te wai, be guided by mātauranga māori, and reduce the risks of flooding while increasing the biodiversity and health of our streams.
